The subject of what constitutes appropriate attire (ie shorts and t-shirts) for stated and called communications has recently been brought up. The brother who was wearing shorts stated that the by- laws just stated appropriate attire and that shorts were appropriate everywhere because this was Florida, that they were appropriate. The by-laws do not address appropriate attire so I started researching the subject in the Digest of Masonic Law. So far I have not found what the digest has to say but will continue my search. ** Let me just say, that out of respect, we do not wear shorts to Weddings, Funerals, Baptisms, Bar-Mitzvas or any other such ceremonies, so we should at least respect our Lodge in the same manner.
